For manufacturers and integrators
Put a solved model in front of your customer.
247 Drafter is built to sit inside the sales and applications process of the companies that manufacture and integrate loading equipment. Here is what working together actually looks like.
The commercial case
Three places this pays for itself.
Answer the geometry question on call one
The reach and clearance answer normally requires a drafter, a CAD seat and a queue. Moving it into the first conversation removes the longest fixed delay in the quoting process.
Show it instead of describing it
A customer looking at their own layout in 3D is evaluating your solution. A customer reading a specification is comparing your price.
Move discoveries out of the field
Clearance, joint compatibility and access findings caught in the browser cost a revision. The same findings caught at commissioning cost a change order and a relationship.
Engagement models
Three ways to work with it.
We would rather find the model that fits how you already sell than push you into one.
| Model | What it means | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Internal tool | Your applications and sales engineers use 247 Drafter to spec and quote your equipment, with your product data represented in it. | You have a capable applications team and the bottleneck is drafting capacity. |
| Customer-facing configurator | A constrained version sits in front of your customers so they can arrive at a sane starting configuration before they talk to you. | You get a high volume of early-stage inquiries that consume engineering time before they qualify. |
| Joint project delivery | We run the drafting alongside your team on live projects — you keep the customer relationship, we supply the solved models. | You want the output without adding a tool or headcount to your process. |
What we need from you
To model your catalogue properly
- Vehicle types your customers load, with hatch and nozzle positions.
- Standard product configurations — the arms, gangways and racks you actually sell.
- Structural conventions you build to, so the supporting steel is yours and not generic.
- A live project or two to test against, ideally ones that have gone wrong before.
What you get back
Beyond the software
- Your parts in the model, not a stand-in library.
- Drawing and BOM output that matches how you already quote.
- A demonstration mode that runs against the customer's own layout.
- Direct access to the person who builds it. There is no support tier between you and the developer.
Straight answers
Questions we get asked first.
Does this replace our CAD?
No. It replaces the delay between an inquiry and a defensible layout. Detailed design and fabrication drawings stay where they are; this gets you to the point where those are worth producing.
Does our engineering team have to learn it?
The guided wizard exists so a sales or applications engineer can drive it without living in CAD. If your drafters want the direct build tools, those are there too.
Can we use our own parts?
Yes. CAD parts mode articulates real geometry exported from STEP, and product-type and structural definitions are data-driven rather than hard-coded.
What about our data?
Product data supplied for modelling is used to model your product and nothing else. If you want that in writing before you send anything, ask and we will sign it.
How mature is it?
It is a working build in active development, not a finished commercial product with a decade of field history. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out in an evaluation. The modules described on this site exist and run today.
Start with a conversation, not a contract.
Twenty minutes to see whether the geometry problem you have is the geometry problem this solves.
